What About Automated Site Builders?

The pitches sound incredibly appealing.

You buy this software. You turn it on. It mass creates web sites, blogs or whatever for you. It inserts feeds, adsense or Clickbank products. It becomes the PERFECT Google bait.

Just churn out dozens or hundreds of these sites and you’ll be in the chips.

Maybe the next one WILL continue working.

All I know is that to date, most all of the automated site and page generators I’ve seen have gotten killed by Google. I know people do make money with these sites. I know the pitch is almost irresistible. I just don’t think they are EVERGREEN. I don’t think they’ll last.

But, of course, you’re welcome to try.

I love the idea in theory of being able to create these automated income streams. And I do have friends who have made huge sums of income (meaning a million or more) with them. Did the money last? No. In the end did Google have the last say?

You bet. You can go gray hat. You can go black hat. You can do whatever you want. People can and do make money this way. Just remember:

Rule One: Thou cannot fool Mother/Father Google.

Rule Two: Don’t piss off Mother/Father Google. They hold ALL the chips and do with your sites what they will for all eternity.
