How To Use Free Articles To Get Traffic

When you are on a skinny rabbit budget, one of the problems is how are you going to get FREE traffic? Well, writing and submitting articles is about as good as it gets.

Step one: Write and submit one article every 1-3 days for each blog or web site you’re promoting.

I realize that may sound like a lot of articles. But with practice, you will get faster at it. There’s a trade off between time and quality. You don’t want to spend one month writing the perfect article.

Nor do you want to write junk that no one would want to put on their web site.

What are you going to write about?

I suggest you write about problems you SOLVE. As you’re going through your learning curve, you’re going to run into all kinds of problems, glitches and snags. As you figure out solutions for those, write articles about the problem and solution.

You can write product reviews for those article directories that will accept them.

You can write tips on a topic. Articles with five tips for this and six tips for that are a good choice.

Step two: Format your articles correctly

In the online world, all caps is considered screaming. So do NOT PUT WORDS IN ALL CAPS LIKE THIS. Instead, use caps and lower case just as I’m doing now.

When you submit to ezinearticles.com, the big daddy of the article directories, you’ll want to read their article submission guidelines and follow them exactly.

Step three: In your resource box, refer people to another free article on your blog or web site.
There’s an art to writing a good resource box.

Step four: Submit your articles.

You will hand submit to ezinearticles.com. For other directories, you’ll use a tool like articlemarketer.com or one of the others. There are a number of tools you can use to submit your articles.
